Abstract

A receiver (2) incorporates an indicator (11) and an alarm (12), and receives signals (S,S') from each transmitter (1). On receipt of a signal, the indicator is activated, and after receipt of the same signal without interruption during a predetermined time period the alarm is activated. Each transmitter has a modulator (4) which modulates the emitted signal in such a way that it is distinguishable from those emitted from other transmitters. The receiver (2) has a demodulator (9) which demodulates the received SIGNALS FOR identification. The receiver comprises a sound receiver (8), a demodulator, a monitoring circuit (10), an indicator (11) and an alarm (12), and can be connected to mains supply. The sound receiver, incorporating an amplifier, is positioned in a bathing pool for receipt of signals from the various transmitters. The signals, after amplification, are passed to the demodulator.
