Abstract

A system for covering open containers 16 which are designed to be transported on a lorry's platform 11, alternatively to be stored on the ground. The covering system is to be mounted on a lorry equipped with lifting arms 13. The covering system comprises a roll of fabric 18 which is mounted on the outer ends of two parallel, telescopic arms 19. The latter are pivoted on bearings fitted at their opposite ends, and flexibly coupled to each lifting arm 13, so that they can follow their swinging motion during loading and unloading of containers 16. <IMAGE>
