Abstract

An arrangement for enclosing a dead body comprises an elongate or body-shaped casing 1 made of flexible and tight plastic material which has an opening 5 for introducing the body. To reliably enclose the body and to prevent soiling of the outside of the casing 1 with body fluids, the opening 5 is arranged lengthwise on the top of the casing 1 at a distance from the opposite long edges 2 of the casing and is provided with a closure member 6. Secured inside the casing 1, between one edge of the opening 5 and the adjacent long edge 2, there is an elongate material section 9 which, folded out through the opening 5, covers the top of the casing from the opening and out to the edge 2. Arranged on the underside, and at a distance from the short edges 3 of the casing 1, there are carrier members 11 which extend beyond opposite long edges 2. <IMAGE>
