Abstract

The saw blade (2) moves axially in relation to the shaft against the effect of a spring which permanently attempts to push it to a starting position. It is fitted on a hub part inside which is a holder pin (17). The pin extends into a hollow space (8) to a socket-shaped part (5) of the shaft (3), and has a piston-type collar or part (18). A primary pressure spring (21) is fitted between the collar and the bottom of the hollow space (8). A secondary such spring (22) is fitted between the collar and a stop flange (20) in the area of the free end of the socket part (5) remote from the base. The two springs (21,22) serve to push back the blade to the starting position independently of the movement of the blade along the shaft in one of two opposing directions.
