Abstract
Each channel (7) has an outlet and a medium, e.g freon, flows through every other one of them for evaporation, whilst in the other intervening channels a heat-emitting medium, e.g water, flows. Each plate (2,2') has holes (9) at their inlets and outlets. - To achieve even distribution of evaporation medium in the plate packet, a restrictor is arranged at each inlet to the channels (7) in which the evaporation medium flows. In one version, the restrictor comprises a ring (10) which seals efficiently against each evaporation channel (7) inlet and has one or more radial through holes directed towards the evaporation channel centre.
