Abstract

The lock comprises a lock body 1, a spring loaded latch bolt 2, movable between a protruding or locking position and a retracted or releasing position, the lock body 1 including two operating axes 4a, 4b e.g. on opposite sides of the latch bolt; the first operating axis 4a is provided with a key-operated lock mechanism arranged in force transmission connection with the latch bolt and the second operating axis 4b is provided with a follower 10 turntable by means of a handle, a turning knob or the like operating device (not shown). The lock body 1 includes coupling means 16 arranged on one hand to connect and on the other hand to disconnect a force transmission connection from the operating device associated with the second operating axis 4b via said follower 10 to the latch bolt 2 a solenoid 12 controlling the operation of said coupling means 16. Solenoid 12 is arranged to be part of electrical circuit 13 opened and closed with a switch 14 positioned in any desired location outside body 1 or under timer control. In the embodiment of Figures 1,2 the follower comprises two separate follower members 10a, 10b the shorter 10a of which is directly turned by the handle or knob. The coupling means 16 comprises a swingable stub shift 16a and arm member 16c connected to the actuating member 15 of drawing solenoid 12, a nose 16b'' to be located between protrusions 19,20 of members 10a, 10b when solenoid 12 is activated to give force transmission connection. In a modification correction is when solenoid is deactivated. The embodiment of Figure 3 has a pushing solenoid 12 and the coupling means comprises a lever 160 and a guiding pin 23 cooperable with edge 24. <IMAGE>
