Abstract

The invention concerns an fixing device 10 designed to enable an electrical installation casing 1 to be mounted between the panels E,D in a wall consisting of a framework with wall panels E,D on both sides, with a casing opening 24 facing towards either side of the wall. Here it is assumed that the casing 1 suitably comprises a cylinder open at one end with a support formed by connection pieces 3 projecting from the cylinder surface and grooves 5 on the opposite side of the cylinder surface with openings 4 arranged in the direction of the bottom of the casing. The fixing device comprises a spacing piece 19 with fixing devices 11,12 for interaction with the groove 5, the height of which fixing device can be increased if necessary using snap-in extension pieces 20 whereby the distance between the support plane formed by the connection pieces 3 of the casing and the supporting surface of the fixing device can easily be adapted to the thickness of normally occurring wall crossbeams. <IMAGE>
