Abstract

The sofa (4) and back support (5) and a connected seat are located in front of the bed (3) when it is in the folded-up position. The seat is pivotable upwards to a position adjacent to the back support. The back support (5) is pivotable about its upper longitudinal edge so that, with the upwardly pivoted seat it is pivotable to a position adjacent to the main wall above the bed to allow the bed to be lowered to its usage position. The whole seating and sleeping module is fitted between a main (1) and cross wall (2). Between the cross walls (2) is a supported plate (8) spaced from the floor, against which the seat and bed rest in their downwardly folded positions. The support plate in conjunction with floor and cross walls, defines a storage space (9).
