Abstract

A combined fire and comfort ventilation hatch includes at least one shutter (10, 11) that can swing on a pivot (12) on a frame side. An arm (19) also swings around essentially the same pivot, extending out over the opening covered by the frame.A fire ventilation latch (15) that can be released in the conventional manner holds the arm in a closed position. An actuator (20), appropriately an electric linear motor, is used for comfort ventilation. This is mounted between the arm (19) and the nearby shutter (10, 11).The actuator is regulated by a controller (21) independently of the fire ventilation latch (15).<IMAGE>
