Abstract

The braces (1) are anchored at one end in a supporting wall joist, whilst the junction box (2) is retained laterally in a predetermined position on the braces by fixture plates (3A,3B) which can be firmly attached to a ceiling plate penetrated by the box. The holes in the fixture plates (3A,3B) are so dimensioned that the plates move along the braces with a predetermined friction inertia. - The plates are provided with outwardly directed graduations, enabling them to be temporarily retained in position during the first phase of the assembly work in their effective fitment to a joist. They also have a number of hollow formations so that fixtures which pass through a ceiling plate can work in conjunction with hollowed formations in anchoring the fixture plates against the ceiling plate inner side. The support braces (1) have breaking indications so that they may be shortened to the requisite length to comply with specific applications. (Provisional basic advised week 87/37)(1/3)
