Abstract

Straining means with openings (4), preferably of circular cross-section, which straining means has an injection side (2) and an acceptance side (3), for straining of suspensions of cellulose fibers, whereby the suspension is given a velocity component P parallel with the injection side of the straining means. The injection side as well as the acceptance side exhibits grooves (18 and 28 repectively), parallel to each other, forming an angle of 50-130<o> with the velocity component P of the suspension, whereby the grooves on the acceptance side (3) form an angle of 0-80<o> with the grooves on the injection side (2). The centre line (5) of the openings forms an angle of 0-25<o> with the normal (N) of the straining means.
