Abstract

The parallelogram arms (9,10) are activated by at least one hydraulic cylinder (17), partly connected to the bed frame (1). The arms are also connected to links (27,28) via which at least a part of the bed weight can be transferred to the support legs (7), which are thus brought into contact with the floor. The arms are rotatable around parallel shafts extending at right-angles to the longitudinal direction of the bed in bearings (12,13) located in a vertical plane connected to the bed frame. The bed bottom (8) is connected to the free ends of the parallelogram arms via parallel braces (14) rotatably joined to the arms.
