Abstract

The rails (1) have flanges (1a,1b) which have support surfaces (4,5) for plates located between the rails. The flange support surfaces work in conjunction with a holder unit (6), e.g. to retain a decorative rod or a fillet (20). The holder unit has two fixtures (7,8) which work with the rail flange edge parts, the distance between the fixtures exceeding that between the flange edge parts, so that the holder can be turned to bring the fixtures into contact with the flange edge parts. One of the flange edge parts (1b) has a short raised part (15) running in the flange crossways direction. The holder unit fixtures (7,8) are made from a pliant and/or sprung plastic material. This enables a part of the fixture to pass over the raised part when the holder and rail are working together.
