Abstract

An emulsifier for an emulsion polymerization is prepd. by the disproportionation and steam-spraying of a mixture of tall oil fatty acid and tall oil resin acid, and the distillation of at least main part of the mixture. The mixture contains 27-73% of fatty acid and 25-71% of resin acid.
