Abstract

The stages of a compressor installation are reciprocally connected in a network, in which three stages receive gas for compression through inlet filters. Each stage has an inlet aperture and an outlet aperture. The outlets on the three stages are connected to appts. for pressure gas take-off, from which a variable flow of compressed gas may be delivered at a primary pressure level. - Further compressor stages have their inlets connected to the pressure gas take-off appts. with their outlets delivering gas to a take-off at a secondary pressure level. The inlets on following compressor stages are connected to the second take-off with their outlets delivering gas to a third take-off at a third pressure level. Final stages are similarly connected, supplying compressed gas at a fourth and final pressure level.
