Abstract

The invention relates to a tubular metallic structure with helical or annular corrugations with a reinforcement of a multiplicity of wires which lie on the corrugation peaks, are applied with a large twist length and are held by a further reinforcing layer. In the case of said tubular metallic structure, the wires are applied onto the tube with an alternating twist direction, and the further reinforcing layer is at least one wire which is applied with a short twist length and is placed, with pretensioning, on the first reinforcing layer.
