Abstract

A mobile radio communication system comprises a central terminal where at least one receptionist is constantly stationed, plural unmanned radio terminals which are connected to the central terminal with fixed transmission lines and a plurality of mobile radio transceivers coupled by radio with the radio terminals. Each mobile radio transceiver can be actuated by a simple operation, e.g., by pressing a button, and automatically transmits identification signals responsive to the transmission demand and the identification number allocated to that individual transceiver as request-to-send radio signal. The central terminal is instrumental in setting up a two-way communication path between itself and the mobile transceiver by means of the radio terminal providing the strongest request-to-send signal.
