Abstract
Apparatus for the removal of dust from hot combustion gas under pressure comprises a plurality of tubular ceramic filter elements (12) which are closed at one end and are held by their open ends in apertures in plates (11). Several tube plates (11) are arranged at different heights within a housing (1), wherein the diameter of the plates (11) increases upwards of the housing (1). Connected to each of the lower plates (11) is a respective hood (16) for removing filtered gas from the elements (12), and each hood narrows upwardly and is connected in gas-tight manner with a central aperture (17) in the plate (11) arranged thereabove. Filtered gas is removed from the space above top plate (11). A rotary nozzle 18 sweeps over each plate (11) to deliver reverse flow gas to clean the elements (12). <IMAGE>
