Abstract
The invention relates to a multi-colour sheet fed printing machine for first form printing and for first form and second form printing, comprising a plurality of printing mechanisms (1 to 6) and at least one sheet turning means (17, 18) which is disposed between a respective pair of printing mechanisms (2, 3) and which can be converted for the purposes of conversion from first form printing to first form and second form printing. It is known to provide densitometric measuring means or other colour testing devices for the various widthwise regions of the printed sheet, such means or devices upon deviations from the desired reference value of the associated widthwise region and the colour, producing a warning display or causing readjustment of the ink feed in the respective region in question, in a closed control loop. The invention provides that densitometric measuring means (19) or other colour testing devices for monitoring the first form print are disposed downstream of the respective last first form printing region, in the direction of sheet movement, on a cylinder of the entire machine, at which the first form side of each sheet is outward, and densitometric measuring means (16) or other colour testing devices for monitoring the second form print are disposed downstream of the last second form printing region of the machine. <IMAGE>
