Abstract

The applicator incorporates a conduit (19) for feeding driving compressed air to the elastically compressible cleaning projectile (2) in order to drive it into a pipe via a nozzle (22). The nozzle has a conically converging passage (23) to compress the passing projectile to a dia. which is not as large as that of the pipe (1). The nozzle and a counterpiece (26) applied against the pipe are axially movable relatively to each other, approaching each other when the mouthpiece part presses in a sealed fashion against the end of the pipe before the driving pressure medium pushes the projectile through the mouthpiece part and into the pipe.
