Abstract

The invention refers to a procedure with which a string mounted on a sounding-board is made to oscillate itself with its fundamental tone or is adjustable with some of the string's natural overtones and includes a magnetic, piezoelectric, or electric condenser microphone (1a, 1b or 1c) for intercepting the shift within the tone frequency area as well and an amplifier (2) connected to this for amplifying the intercepted shifts, in part with the aid of an octave change-over switch (4) and a tone change-over switch (5) adjustable band-pass filter (3), which is designed to let the intended oscillating frequencies of the tones through by means of the change-over switches, in part an amplifier (9) with logarithmic amplifying characteristics, adjustable maximum output voltage, phase regulation controlled by an octave change-over switch (4) with manual fine-tuning (10) and in part a change-over switch (11) for alternative feedback of the oscillatory energy via a speaker (12), sounding-board (15) and sound step (16) to the string (14) or via a magnetic driver device (13) directly contact-free affecting the string, at which self-oscillation is attained at the right phase position in the feedback oscillation. With the use of an electric condenser microphone (1c) or speaker (12) coarse regulation of the phase position occurs also with distance adjustment between this and the sounding-board (15).<IMAGE>
