Abstract

The turbo-cyclone for separating suspensions comprises a suction chamber (1) for sucking an initial suspension through a connection (2) provided for its charging, a chamber (3) for separating the initial suspension and discharging a thickened product with lumpy heavy particles through a connection (4) provided on the chamber, and a collector (5) for collecting a clarified product with small light particles and for its discharging through a connection (6) provided on the collector. The chamber (3) and the collector (5) are arranged on both sides of the inlet chamber (1). A hollow rotor (8) is mounted inside both the chambers (1, 3) and the collector (5); the rotor is connected with the drive shaft (10) and holes are provided in the lateral rotor wall in order to discharge the clarified product. The rotor (8) is provided with an impeller (11) which is mounted between the suction chamber (1) and the chamber (3) for separating the suspension. The impeller (11) is comprised of blades (16) which are arranged an a cantilever hub (17). Coaxial cylindrical cross-sections of each of the blades (16) define profiles which are inclined in relation to the rotation axis of the rotor (8).
