Abstract

Landmine detonator mechanism is triggered by a sensor which is sensitive to pressure or flexure. The activation mechanism has two bellows contg. a flowing medium. They are connected to each other via a constriction. One end of the first bellow is coupled to the sensor in such a way that the detected pressure or flexure compresses it. The free end of the other bellow is coupled to a device which activates the detonator so that a detonating explosion occurs as the result of the movement of the other bellows. - There is a spring in the movement transmitting path between the sensor and the burst releasing other bellow. The sensor is made of glass fibre reinforced plastic and the housing is plastic. (Provisional Basic previously advised in week 8619) (5pp)
