Abstract

The invention relates to a circuit arrangement for the electronic control and monitoring of a breathing gas humidifier whose electrical heating device is connected via a temperature controller with two temperature sensors, one of these temperature sensors being arranged near the patient and the other temperature sensor being arranged near the heating. It is the object of the invention to adjust the breathing gas temperature electronically, to provide information about its magnitude immediately and to display this information on a light-strip indicator. In addition, the information is to include monitoring of the limit values which are displayed by a colour marking and by optical and acoustic warning. This is achieved in that the temperature controller has a multiple comparator circuit which is connected via amplifiers and resistance bridges with the temperature sensors and communicates with a row of diodes formed by light-emitting diodes whose signals are linked via transistor combinations with a flashing light generator and an alarm generator.
