Abstract

The system, to eliminate dust generation when tipping grain, crushed material etc. into a pit or hopper, comprises an assembly of plates. The assembly is so shaped and positioned that the dust-laden air is kept at the bottom of the pit. The rising dust is directed against the incoming material and concentrated inside the pit, until extracted. The assembly also prevents the vehicle driving over the pit, and is usable as a cover for the pit.
