Abstract

When packing an article (15) a length of paper is drawn off (2) of a roll (1) and wrapped around the article a number of times forming wrapped layers on top of each other. The one side of the paper roll (3) which is intended for use against the article (15) is designed to be sticky. The other side (4) of the roll (2) is designed to be removable from the sticky side (3) at room temperature. The sticky side (3) contains heat-activated glue that after heat activation is heavily bound against the above named releasing surface (4). Alternatively the release power for the named releasable surface (4)can be inactivated through the effects of heat so that the other side (4) upon the effect of heat is heavily bound to the sticky side (3). Through activation of the glue surface (3) and/or inactivation of the releasable surface, the paper roll is bound (2) against an underlying winding turn of the paper onto the article (15).
