Abstract

The invention concerns an apparatus for weapon firing training with mainly moving targets (18) with a weapon (1) equipped with a telescopic or luminous point sight (2). The apparatus includes a target device (6) designed to hold a miniature picture (7) showing a target figure (11) scaled to represent being at a set distance from the weapon. The target device (6) is fixed to the weapon (1) by a linkage system (19) in such a way that a marksman can freely point his weapon (1) at the picture (7) while at the same time it maintains a virtually constant spacing between the weapon's (1) muzzle and the target picture (7), so that by means of a device (16,18) working with the weapon's (1) trigger mechanism in conjunction with a firing movement, a mark is made on the target (7) whose position depends on where the weapon (1) is pointing at the moment of firing.The invention is characterised by a positive lens (21) being fitted between the sight (2) and the muzzle, this lens' dioptric and relative position along the line of sight (20) is chosen so that the marksman sees the target (11) sharply in the sight (2). The lens (21) is movable across the line of sight (20) so that the parallax which arises when the lens axis is moved parallel to the line of sight (20) can be made to exactly correspond with the shift of the impact point which in actual firing would arise consequent upon the speed of the target and the firing distance.<IMAGE>
