Abstract

The invention refers to a method and a device for arranging items of post in envelopes. According to the invention the envelopes are placed in between two loose sheets and separated from each other in the same apparatus as where the letter inserts are placed in envelopes and in immediate connection to the device. According to the invention, the device contains a number of stations for keeping supplies (1-5) and collating (7-11) the inserts, as well as stations for production of envelopes (34-36), for placing inserts into envelopes (18, 43) and for sealing the envelopes (17, 44). The apparatus can be produced through special modifications on a mail inserting machine of and in itself a known type.<IMAGE>
