Abstract

Wire and cable products including at least one conductor are encased by a jacketing member comprised of a formulation of materials based upon CPE polymer. The jacketing member provides the physical properties of frame resistance, heat deformation resistance, low coefficient of friction, and toughness, among others, as generally required or considered necessary for use as an overall and individual component jacket. The formulation of materials based upon CPE polymer may be cross-linked by methods and means including exposure to a radiation source.
