Abstract

The ultra-sound sensor device comprises four sensors of which the first pair probes the directional angle (alpha) of the incoming ultra-sound in a first plane, whilst the second pair probes the directional angle (beta) in a second plane, pref. at right-angles to the first. Both pairs of sensors are connected to a picture screen for indication of the position of the point on the object emitting ultra-sound in relation to the central axis of the reflector. Both sensors in each pair are connected via individual amplifiers to a phase comparator, the output signal of which corresp. to the directional angles (alpha, beta) of the ultra-sound. A component is provided which converts angle data into right-angled coordinates. (Provisional Basic advised week 85/33)
