Abstract
The heat exchanger element comprises a tube (11) cast into a block (12) of metal, the block acting as the core of a heat exchanger. The tube is for passage of a first medium. The block material is of high heat conducting capacity, and has surface enlarging flanges (15). - The flanges can be provided at the inward facing and/or outward facing surfaces of the block. The block is enclosed in a casing (13) through which a second medium is passed. Pref. the block contains several tubes.
