Abstract

In a housing (1, 2), a plurality of tube-constricting rollers (3) are guided movably along a circular trajectory. A tube support member (7) serves to support a tube in contact with the perimeters of the rollers (3) on a section of the circular trajectory. The tube support member (7) is arranged movably in the housing (1, 2) and held by a bolt (10) which engages, by means of an eccentric section (10a), a slot in the tube support member (7). In operation, the tube support member (7) can pivot around the bolt (10) and is capable of limited movement relative to said bolt. By means of this resilience of the tube support member (7), the tube is preserved. By rotating the bolt (10) it is possible to adjust, via the eccentric section (10a), the gap between the tube support member (7) and the trajectory of the rollers (3), and to adapt said gap to the wall thickness of the tube used in a particular case. <IMAGE>
