Abstract
An optical line scanning instrument that has an especially simple mechanical construction, and where each part of the optical and movable arrangements can be adjusted separately before installation and be individually replaced due to the fact that the casing has a long, predominantly cylindrical, shaped cavity (32) provided with a through opening (35, 55, 56) that is transparent for the radiation to be scanned and located approximately in the middle of the cavity. A rotary motor (5) with a radiation deflection device (1), located on the axle, is placed centrally in the first holder (38), the dimensions of which, are adapted to the inner dimension of the cavity, and the holder with motor is placed in the cavity from the one side so that the deflection device is placed in the middle of the window. A radiation detector (6) is placed in the other holder (41, 45) together with optics (8). The other holder also has an outer dimension adapted to the inner dimension of the cavity, and is placed in the cavity via its other end.<IMAGE>
