The remote-controlled valve has a plug (26) actuated by a ram (30,32) whose cylinder is connected by a hose (13) to an elastically-distorting vessel (43). The vessel is mounted in a frame plate (42) on which a pressure plate (12) hinges. Pressure generated by the plate against the vessel is transmitted via the hose to the ram piston.(2)
