Abstract

A ventilation tool for cross-sectional circular piping (1) comprised of an arched, valve forming plate (3) whose contour shape is defined in part by a first edging section (5) with a semi-circular shape, and in part by a second edging section (6) with a semi-elliptical shape. The plate (3) is, with the assistance of a power transmission mechanism (4) pivots between the pipe's (1) open position in which the plate's convex side fits up against the inside of the pipe and a closing position in which the semi-circular edge section (5) is oriented perpendicular against the pipe's longitudinal axis at the same time as the semi-elliptical edge section (6) is orientated in an acute angle against the same axel.<IMAGE>
