Abstract

The invention concerns a device which prevents backflow of liquid into a pump unit. The outlet pipe (4) from a pump (1) is provided with a telescopic extension (5) supported by a float (6) on the surface of the receiver. The static head may then be minimized, independant of the liquid level in the receiver.
