Abstract

The invention relates to a device for stretching tubular elastic objects, and the device according to the invention is first and foremost intended to be used in gynaecology and obstetrics. The device according to the invention is characterised by the fact that it comprises a multiplicity of fingers 7 which are placed in circle form, with each finger 7 being attached to one of the ends of a swinging arm 6 whose other end is provided with a first pin 8 which projects into a hole 9 in an outer ring-shaped supporting member 1, in addition to which each swinging arm 6 supports, at a point between its two ends, a second pin 5 which projects into a hole in an inner ring-shaped supporting member 2, which latter is mounted for rotation in the outer supporting member 1, with controlling members 3, 4 being arranged to enable rotation relative to each other to take place between the two supporting members 1, 2 and bringing about a change in the diameter of the circle along whose circumference the fingers 7 are placed. <IMAGE>
