Abstract

The equipment positions the forks (8) as to height and lateral position in relation to a compartment in a pallet for load lifting. The forks are raised when the truck is positioned in front of the pallet location, and on the truck are radiation transmitting and receiving units (9). These units work with a reflector (7) on the pallet location, indicate when the forks have reached the pallet lifting compartment, stop lifting in the correct position, independently as to whether the forks (8) are bearing a load or not, and also activate any fork lateral adjustment required. - The radiation transmitters and receivers (9) are on the points of the forks, and the reflectors (7) are positioned on the front side of the pallet position horizontal shelf plane (5).
