Abstract

An overhead door comprises a door leaf element 12 and two tilt arms 16 which are intended for pivotable mounting opposite one another on respective sides of a door opening 11 and on which the door leaf element 12 is supported in a longitudinally displaceably guided manner by guide means which are arranged on each tilt arm 16 and the adjacent side edge portion 23 of the door leaf element 12 and interact with one another, comprising on the one hand a guide groove 26 and on the other hand two guide elements 22 in the form of rotatable wheels or rollers, which are located at a mutual spacing and arranged so as to be accommodated displaceably in said guide groove. For the purpose of achieving a short length of the tilt arms 16, the guide grooves 26 are arranged in the longitudinal side edge portions 23 of the door leaf element 12 covering the door opening, while the guide elements 22 are arranged on the tilt arms 16. <IMAGE>
