The present invention concerns a method and arrangement for apportioning of particulate material in slurry form, especially continuous apportioning of limestone or the like in flowing water for liming of water courses and/or lakes, wherein the arrangement contains a vertically arranged chamber 3 with a closed bottom end 4 and a partially open upper end surface 5 serving as an outlet opening; an intake opening 8 arranged at a certain distance from or next to the bottom surface 4 for intake of the flowing water; a supply opening 9 for limestone in slurry form, arranged directly beneath the level of the intake opening 8; a concave back plane 10 arranged opposite the intake opening 8 in the chamber 3; and a dispersal arrangement 11 arranged on and at the upper surface 5, 6 of the chamber 3. <IMAGE>
