Abstract

Packaging and its contents are shredded. After shredding, the material is mixed with sludge and sifted to separate the packaging contents which are larger than 80-100 mm from the remainder. The remaining material is further sifted to separate out material larger than 30 mm. Glass items are removed and the final material composted. - Used esp. for composting household rubbish. (Provisional basic previously advised in Week 8416)
