Abstract

The present invention relates to a method for providing plastic products having partially metallized surfaces. To this end, use is made of two different types of plastic materials 1 and 2 which are formed into plastic elements 36, which are then immersed into a bath and provided with a surface layer of metal 61, for example by electroplating. By using a first plastic material 1 which attracts metal in the coating technique employed and a second plastic material 2 which repels metal, a partially metallized plastic product is obtained, since only those portions of the plastic elements 36 which consist of the said first plastic material 1 will be provided with a surface layer of metal 61. <IMAGE>
