Abstract

The setting of a sparless altitude sail (5) is achieved by the sail being packed into a launching device (4) and being connected to a winch (2). The sail is then connected via a line (6) to a guide kite (7) which in a free-flying state pulls the sparless sail (5) out of the launching device (4), the winch (2) controlling the movement. <IMAGE>
