Abstract

On the rear side of a transparent sheet, is printed a first layer of yellow colour covering the surfaces of the sign intended to act as background, and leaving free those areas to be used for data presentation. A second layer of black colour is then applied on the background surfaces, and also forms a grid pattern on the data surfaces. A third layer applied is of yellow colour covers at least the grid pattern, and over it is applied a fourth layer of white colour with diffusing transparent properties. The sign is used particularly at airports for presentation of text or pictorial information by day or by night, having a rear illumination arrangement. (Provisional Basic advised week 8401).
