Abstract

The log-chopping device comprises two conveyors with a slidable ram unit placed between them. The second conveyor has a stop arrangement to halt the logs at a predetermined point. The stop arrangement comprises a number of stop units placed along the second conveyor, each unit having a slidable extension, slidable in a direction perpendicular to the direction of travel. At least some of the units are linked to a common control arm which is slidable parallel to the conveyor's direction of travel for a distance at least equivalent to the gap between two extensions.
