Abstract

The building bricks (2) are glued to horizontal prefabricated, cement-based, masonry joint members (1) arranged between the courses. Within each course, the bricks can also be glued to each other and/or to intermediate vertical masonry joint members (3), also prefabricated and cement-based. The horizontal masonry joints are pref. longer than the building bricks and may be a continuous run for the length of the wall. The glue used for joining is a cement-base adhesive. The construction may be completed by unskilled labour and may also take place in below-freezing atmospheric conditions.
