Abstract

A key operated cylinder lock mechanism comprises a housing 1 enclosing a rotatable hollow cylinder 2 which in turn encloses a plurality of tumbler discs 3. The tumbler discs 3 are turned by a key inserted at 8 from a locking position, in which they keep the cylinder 2 locked to the housing 1, through a certain angle individually set for each tumbler disc 3 in accordance with the key-profile, to a releasing position, in which the cylinder 2 is released to rotate relative to the housing 1. In the unlocking angular portion of the discs, their prongs 6 are received in perforations 11 of the locking element, so that this can slide out of stator recess 13 due to springs 16, and into the gap 12 in the cylinder 2, so that this can then rotate. <IMAGE>
