Abstract

A method for the manufacture of a moisture-absorbing, two-sheet product comprising one sheet of a material penetrable to moisture and air, and exposing depressions distributed in a certain pattern and forming cavities between the sheets, the cavities containing a highly absorbing material 3 in comminuted form, by a web 1 of material for the first sheet being carried over a roller 5 with depressions 6 connected to a source of vacuum and being impressed in said depressions, following which the comminuted highly absorbing material 3 is brought to the web 1 and drawn into the depressions by means of the vacuum, whereby the surplus is brushed away, whereupon a second web 4 of material for the second sheet is brought by so that it covers the depressions, and is brought to fasten to the first web. <IMAGE>
