Abstract

A pail-form container 11 has, at the top of its side wall, integral shaped bead 13. Considered in radial section, this bead 13 merges with downturned leg 16 which connects by outwardly- directed flange 15 with upright double-wall part 14 with bracing web 24, between the latter and the wall of the container, below the flange 15. Inwardly projecting rib 18 on the wall 14 forms the groove between wall 14 and leg 16 into undercut configuration for corresponding engagement by an outwardly projecting rib 28 on outer leg 29 of a U-shaped bead around complementary cover member 12. <IMAGE>
