Abstract
A combined plant fitted directly in an outlet conduit is used to separate entrained material from waste water, and to drain and consolidate the material. It comprises an arc-shaped grid (14) with its concave side turned towards the water direction of flow. A cleaning fork (16) is pivotably suspended in the centre (15) of the circular arc, and after it has scraped the grid clean, it can be pushed back to a horizontal position. The entrained material is pushed away from the fork by a piston (22) and a hydraulic cylinder (21) and is pressed into the drain part (24) of a transport pipe (25) which is bent upwards and backwards. The material can thus be delivered to a chamber above the grid and cleaning equipment.
